Please join us for this very special retreat, where the Venerable Jigme Thrinley Rinpoche will offer profound and practical teachings on preparing emotionally and spiritually for death, dying, and beyond. Drawing from the Buddhist contemplative tradition, Rinpoche will explain how we can meet death with wisdom and compassion while learning to support others as they approach the end of life. One thing we will all face in our lives is the death of loved ones and friends. Ultimately, we, too, must face our own mortality. As the Buddha taught, death is certain, but the time and manner of our death are uncertain.

Open to beginners and experienced practitioners alike, these teachings are practical, accessible, and beneficial for everyone. Rinpoche will open up and elucidate such topics as the outer and inner signs of the dying process, instructions on the Bardo (the intermediate state), skillful ways to work with loss and grief, and also prayers such as the Soor offering and/or meditation practices for the dying and the deceased. Finally, he will present guidance on recognizing the clear light of death and show how it is possible to approach death with dignity, fearlessness, and grace.
